About Mensendiek's Auction Service & Real Estate...

Mensendiek's Auction Service is a family owned, full-service Auction business operating in the Columbus, IN area. Mike Mensendiek has been a licensed Indiana auctioneer since 1989. Mike is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and the Indiana Auctioneers Association, Mike is currently the Secretary / Treasure of the IAA. Mike was the Indiana champion Auctioneer in 2002.

Having been raised a farmer's son, Mike's knowledge of farm machinery and equipment makes him an excellent choice for selling all of your farm related items. Mike is also a Licensed Independent Real Estate Broker, Specializing in Agricultural and Rural Real Estate sales either at Auction or private treaty. Mensendiek's Auction service specializes in Estates, Farm machinery & Equipment, antiques, collectibles and numerous specialty auctions such as Guns, Coins, Longaberger Baskets, Dolls, Trading cards, Art, Pottery and numerous other personal property.

Mensendiek's Auction Service offers Real Estate and Personal property Appraisal Services. Bryan Schroer Real Estate appraisals, Mike Mensendiek & Charlie Deweese (CAGA) appraiser for Personal property.

Mensendiek's Auction Service is family owned and operated, and all members of the family participate in the business. Mikes's mom, Imogene registers and cashiers, father-in-law Charlie Deweese, Bill Montgomery, Dwight King, and others work as set up and ring help, Mike's wife Myra, her twin sister Melisa, Mechelle Drum, Bryan Ritz work as clerks, and their son Nathan helps in the auction ring and consignment pick ups. Daughters Emma and Anna help out where needed.

Mensendiek's Auction Service and Real Estate is proud to announce the addition of 3 new Realtors to our company of Bryan Schroer Associate Broker and Appraiser of the Columbus Office, Linda Smith Realtor of Columbus and Susie Meier Realtor of Seymour.

When not auctioneering, Mike enjoys archery, hunting, Helping his son Nathan and his Mini Sprint racing team where he competes in the AMSA (American Mini Sprint Association) at Lawrenceburg, North Vernon and other tracks. Check Nathan out at: He also enjoys watching Daughters Emma and Anna Dance at Tammy's Dance Studio in Seymour In. Mike and Myra's three children are, Nathan age 13, Emma age 8 and Anna age 5. The family belongs to White Creek Lutheran Church.

We are pleased to have working with us on our Auction team Auctioneers Jon Claycamp of Seymour and Brad Weber of Commiskey. The addition of Jon and Brad as Auctioneers help make all our auctions run smooth and efficient.
